Description
Medium carbon ferromanganese is one of the most widely used ferroalloys in the ferrous metal casting industry as well as in electrode manufacturing. This ferroalloy is composed of iron, manganese, and silicon, along with trace amounts of other elements such as silica, phosphorus, and sulfur. Medium carbon ferromanganese, like low carbon ferromanganese, is gray in color and is generally used in the form of lumps with a grain size of 10-60 mm or powdered for use in the electrode making and casting industries. Medium carbon ferromanganese, like low carbon ferromanganese, is gray in color and is generally used in the form of lumps with a grain size of 10-60 mm or powdered for use in the electrode making and casting industries. The manganese in this ferroalloy is about 75-85%. As the name of this ferroalloy indicates, the amount of carbon in it is of great importance and should not exceed 1.5%.
Applications of medium carbon ferromanganese:
- Oil and gas industry
- Production of industrial tools
- Automotive industry in the production of automotive parts
- Electronics industries such as switching parts and . . .
- Chemical industries such as tanks, pipes and refinery equipment
- Machinery industry and gears, lubricants, shafts and structural parts
- Construction industries producing metal structural parts, doors, windows and . . .
- Marine industries and marine parts such as boats, ships and marine equipment
- producing military parts such as tanks, aircraft and military weapons
